Many shades of gray.

Taking photographs such as this is really typical. I see them all the time on flickr and other photo sharing sites. When I saw this at first I passed it up but when I looked again in my black and white future sight mode I had to shoot it. The shades and the shapes and the sun coming across. You can’t pass up everything hitting just right. Plus I just walked up about 200 stairs to get there so…..I had to take a knee.

This is the only form of portraiture that I like. Freestyle. I’m not all about using lights and I don’t have money to buy the best lenses and raddest cameras so depending on form and composition is key in my photographs. I don’t know why I just decided to take you on that trip though..

Anyway, portraits using the most amazing and free light source are my favorite. The sun if you’re wondering.

Downtown Tulsa. Tops of buildings. I don’t think this secret spot is a secret to the people who love downtown. It’s easy to get here and get inside the building itself. Make sure you go with a buddy though. Never know who or what could be lurking in the shadows. Also, bring a flashlight and maybe a tripod.

Something new that I haven’t shot before, a fashion show.

Indie Emporium put on a fashion show and a friend invited me to shoot him and his gurlz getting ready. I’m not going to type some long description. You should just look and enjoy.

Tulsa Moon

Grabbed my tripod.

Grabbed my camera.

Grabbed the keys.

Shoot shoot shoot.

I saw this coming into play from the backyard and drove quickly to get this photograph. I have other but none were as striking when I looked through Bridge. Oi, I really do need a 70-200 lens. Zooming in with a wide angle lens isn’t giving me the sharpness that I want.

Midcontinent

This entire week has been dedicated to Michael Jackson. I already listened to the Thriller album nonstop and now I’ve listened to it 10x more than usual.

Rest in Peace good sir.
