This is just something I have been experimenting with lately. Adding colors and various things to add interest to the photograph. I’ve never been one to add funky colors to it but maybe I can apply this to other steps and maybe tone it down a bit so it’s not so much “wow, color, dang….” when you look at it. Main overall adjustments are my fav. I’m very plain and very boring when it comes to what I like in photography. Nothing too flashy. You know moi.

Oh wait, the photograph. The photograph was taken while riding the train back upstate from NYC area. I got used to seeing this view every day/night coming home. One of the best commutes I’ve ever had.

This is a composite I created using simple blend modes and layer adjustments.

If you know anything about me you know that I’m a huge fan of multiple exposures. A few digital cameras can do it but mine doesn’t so I have to find other means of creating the look I want. I’ve finally found the look but I still haven’t found the best way of shooting for it yet. I wish film processing was still cheap and easily accessible. Oh, and getting it scanned is the most expensive of all now.

As artists we always seem to be blocked by money right? We don’t make an extreme amount of money yet we’re all okay with not making an extreme amount of money. We struggle.

Another Corel Painter X piece. I’m still teaching myself all the techniques to go along with this app as well as trying to bring as much of my own paint style to it as possible. It’s all a big experiment.

Anyway, the photograph/painting is of my wife. This time I wanted to go with a darker color theme and tone down the brightness of the original photograph. I will include a before and after…

I played around with a directional light filter that I thought worked way better than the overhead light that’s in the original.

Corel Painter X allows me to paint when I want and without a mess.

Look at this painting. If I actually painted that there would be a mess.

Beautiful. I love technology.

Shot the original photograph a few years ago during school. Found the photograph a few days ago and painted a few days ago. I have a few of these to show but you must wait.

Don’t hate me?

Manhattan Soul. This painting is not for sale but I will post more photos of my paintings very very soon. Keep on holding on.

I guess I should make a new category with artwork for sale. No one is really buying the art anyway. I could even sell sketches for mad cheap. I gotta start pushing my artwork more. Although it’s not incredibly awesome it’s a piece of me. Enjoy.

Untitled

Sorry for the low quality image. For this piece I only snapped a jpeg from my phone. This is a 5×7 frame that was once brown and boring and plain and horrible. Acrylic now covers the past. The photograph inside the frame was an accident. The printer moved the paper while printing, thus making the image diagonal. I have a thing for unique artwork and unique meaning something isn’t exactly perfect. So I framed one of the imperfects.
