This is a composite I created using simple blend modes and layer adjustments.

If you know anything about me you know that I’m a huge fan of multiple exposures. A few digital cameras can do it but mine doesn’t so I have to find other means of creating the look I want. I’ve finally found the look but I still haven’t found the best way of shooting for it yet. I wish film processing was still cheap and easily accessible. Oh, and getting it scanned is the most expensive of all now.

As artists we always seem to be blocked by money right? We don’t make an extreme amount of money yet we’re all okay with not making an extreme amount of money. We struggle.

All the things he said. Everything just became Blanks.

It’s been a while since I uploaded something for no one to look at. Here’s another attempt at keeping the mind visually sharp in a somewhat non-creative mood I’ve been stuck in lately. Blame it on the weather.

I finally feel like my digital painting style is being nailed down.

This will be a brilliant journey.

The latest painting by moi. Thinking about leaving this painting unframed because for some mystical reason it just looks better that way. This painting is a 16×20 and is currently being sold for 50.00. You know me, I’m cheap. If you would like to purchase the painting then you know where to find me.

I’m actually about to shoot another painting. It has been on the site before but now it has been framed in a frame I have painted. Stay tuned.

Aztec Clay Figure

Recently I have been working a lot in Corel Painter X once again. Sometimes I cannot bring myself to spend a lot of time on something that I will never be able to “touch” but digital art is starting to grow on me especially since I am fresh out of canvas. For those that do not know, Corel Painter allows you to “clone” an image and make it into a painting which you can make into your own style. I took an photo of an aztec statue for this one and changed the colors a bit while adding splatter and outlines and all that junk.

Definitely going to be doing more of these.

Untitled

Sorry for the low quality image. For this piece I only snapped a jpeg from my phone. This is a 5×7 frame that was once brown and boring and plain and horrible. Acrylic now covers the past. The photograph inside the frame was an accident. The printer moved the paper while printing, thus making the image diagonal. I have a thing for unique artwork and unique meaning something isn’t exactly perfect. So I framed one of the imperfects.

Phoenix.
